Alfred Vandergriff

      Alfred Vandergriff, age 96, died at his home on Brown Town road, near Red Bank, yesterday at 7:20 a.m.

      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Vandergriff; two daughters, Mrs. C. A. Levi and Mrs. E. A. Dodd; seven sons, Frank, Albert, Sam, Walter, Luther and Tommie Vandergriff; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Betty Jordan. His body will remain at the home until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be held from the Union Springs Baptist church at 2 p.m. today, arrangements in charge of Smith Funeral Service.
