Mrs. Harry Vandergriff, aged 26, died at her
home on Signal Mountain at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon after a lingering
illness. Besides her husband she is survived by four children, Helen,
Marguerite, Harry,. Jr., and James, all of Signal Mountain; two brothers, Ed
Cannon, of Hamilton, O. (Ohio), and Macon Cannon, of Chattanooga. Funeral
services will be held at the Fairmount church this afternoon at 2:30, the Rev.
Sam Scott, assisted by the Rev. M. K. Hollister, officiating. Interment will
follow in the Fairmount cemetery. Pallbearers will be Seth Vandergriff,
Foster Vandergriff, Siras Smith, John McMequier, Will McMequier, and Cris
Durham.
