Rachel Vandergriff, 93, formerly of Hill Street, Clyde, died Wednesday at Arbors
of Clyde.
She was born in Red Bank, TN, daughter of Jack and Laura (Price) Gadd and
has lived in Clyde since 1950. She married Jacob Vandergriff on June 23, 1923,
and he died in 1987.
Mrs. Vandergriff was a homemaker and a member of the First Missionary
Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Hill of Ellabell, Ga., five grandchildren,
eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jacob Norman and one daughter,
Edith Brackett, both of Clyde.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m., today, at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral
Home in Clyde. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Bakertown Cemetery in Clyde.
