Five Generations of Family

Five generations of a long-lived vigorous family are represented in this picture. Mrs. W. B. Thompson (seated) is the great-great-grandmother of Oscar Allen Burnette, whom she holds. Others in relation to the baby are left to right: Mrs. Frank Fryar, great-grandmother; J. B. Fryar, grandfather, and Mrs. Raymond Burnette, mother. All are direct descendants of Mrs. Thompson, who is 87 years old. She and Mr. Thompson reside in Lookout Valley with their daughter Mrs. Frank Fryar, who is 63 years old. J. B. Burnette is 6 months old. W. B. Thompson was not present at the time the picture was taken at the home of Mrs. Frank Fryar, because he was away working on his farm. He is 90 years old. Mrs. Thompson is able to help her daughter with the housework.
